To finally end up here. This place is an institution in Paris; a centuries old series of “caveaux” or underground tunnels and rooms in the Saint-Germain, Saint Michel area, these were originally built for secret organisations and getting famous prisoners such as Louis XVI and Marie-Antoinette to and from prisons to courts to execution stands. These tunnels date from Roman times. During WWII, these tunnels were used by the Resistance. They have since been transformed into a jazz club with live jazz bands and dancers swinging away madly and passionately to the beat. Love this place. History, art, music and culture come together here, as they so often do in Paris. So am now dancing the night away, sweating away all the food I just devoured!!! #latenight #dancing #lecaveaudelahuchette #jazz #swing #paris #parislanuit #parisbynight #lesnuitsparisiennes #livelovethiscity #howcouldieverleave #live #music
